Tell them all about it!

So, the first thing you should be thinking about is actually one of the core strategies that we implement with our clients, Customer Contact. 

It’s not just about calling them, emailing them, texting them or writing to them or even video-conferencing, it’s about the content in the message you send them.

Firstly, remember that we don’t know how this will have affected their businesses and more importantly their staff so the tone of your communication is vital. Think carefully about the communication and make sure all customer-facing staff are briefed and aware.

  • Do you have a particular stock line that is now redundant and you want to clear out?

  • You could do a bundle deal, offer a complimentary product or service which adds value to the original purchase

Ensure that your staff are aware of any offers you are making and you communicate the same message and any offers across all marketing media. Don’t forget to remind your customers why they should be buying from you by demonstrating your differentiator (USP).

Also remember, this can be applied to your prospective customers as well as your existing customers and you should be contacting them on a regular basis. Just because they aren’t ready to buy from you now, doesn’t mean they won’t be next week or next month.
